Travel Documents

The unforeseen possibility of a medical disembarkation or early cruise termination may require that you have a valid passport to enable you to continue travel. Non-U.S./non-Canadian citizens: must have a valid passport and any necessary visas. Please carefully verify the existing identification requirements for your particular travel situation.

In addition, non-U.S. citizens who have previously been admitted to the United States for permanent residence must carry their Permanent Resident Card (Form I-551), commonly known as a Green Card. Resident aliens not in possession of this must obtain one at the nearest office of the U.S. Immigration Service.

Hampton Inn Ft. Lauderdale Airport North/Cruise Port

Nothing ruins a cruise like missing the boat. For those of you who are flying in, we would suggest that you plan to arrive the day before and stay at the Hampton Inn. This is very nice 3 star hotel with several fast food restaurants nearby. There is small shopping center adjacent to the hotel which has a Grocery Store, ABC Store, Laundromat, Radio Shack, and a Dunkin Donuts. About a mile away is Lesters Diner. It's a big 50's style diner with great food and huge desserts. The rooms at this hotel have hair dryers, a microwave and mini fridge. The hotel offers FREE shuttle service to and from the airport, cruise port, and the local restaurants. Best of all you can spot their shuttle van from a mile away---well almost!! (see photo)

Booking Your Air Travel

Due to many recent changes in the air line rules and regulations, we only offer airfare through the cruise lines. There are good reasons for buying your airfare from the cruise lines.

Buying the airfare from the cruise line can be stress-free.
If the airline has problems with a flight and it is their fault, it is their responsibility to find another flight for you and make all the arrangements to get you to to the cruise safely and on time.

If you do not buy airfare from the cruise line, we suggest you arrive at least 1 day before your departure. Nothing ruins a cruise like missing the boat! Here's why:

If your flights are delayed or cancelled, it is YOUR responsibility to get to the ship on time, and this allows you more time to rebook.

NOTE:
If you are making your own air arrangements on the same day the ship sails and returns don’t forget:

Arrival Flights on the day of embarkation should arrive no later than 12:00pm. You must be ready to board the ship on time. Don’t be late!

Departure Flights should depart no earlier than 1:00 pm on the day the ship returns. Remember that airport security is different at every airport. It may take 2 hours from the time you get to the airport to get through security and actually get to your departure gate.

Don't Forget Your Meds

Please make certain that you bring all of your medications with you. If you do realize that you have forgotten any of your daily medications (like blood pressure pills), there are many pharmacies in the Fort Lauderdale area. You can call your physician and have your prescriptions faxed to the pharmacy for refill prior to embarkation. Below is the the address of the pharmacy closest to the Hampton Inn.
